Once you enter into ATTARDS shop in Hamrun, you will realise that the design and layout are modern. This is due to recent refurbishing of this shop. However this modern shop has deep roots, which in fact have been growing for over fifty years.
The original firm Attard Bros had its origin way back in 1956 when three Attard brothers (Joe, John and Charles) started as part-timers on electrical installations work at the time of the conversion of the electrical system in Malta.
In June 1959, following their success in the installation work, the brothers Attard opened their first shop in the upper part of High Street in Hamrun. With further expansion, of the firm, the need was felt to open a more centralised shop in Hamrun. In August 1964 Attard Bros moved shop and offices to the present premises at 125 High Street Hamrun, which proved to be a big success until this very day.
This shop, at 125 High Street Hamrun and now also in Zerafa Street Marsa, continues to serve the numerous clienteles that have accumulated throughout the long years of continuous operation.
Presently the shop is managed by Gilbert Attard (who is a qualified electrician) in partnership with his uncle Charles Attard, who is one of the original partners.
